what to bring and not to bring

Hello everyone!  I was asked what to bring on a sailing charter...so I figured visual images would work better than text!!!

"Let's say you are coming down here to escape an extremely busy life in which you are always bound up in a three piece suit, or other uncomfortable clothing. What a joy it is to let it go for a while, and to enjoy the sensation of gossamer fabric, of the sun and the wind, on your body . You do not have to dress up much in the islands, it is a casual place. And, as one would expect, the local choice of bathing suits, pareos, and casual clothing is excellent.

But there is another good reason to come to the Caribbean without a lot of clothing. Think about bringing an empty suitcase. It is a fashion paradise. The selection is great, and on many islands the prices are duty free. You will find most of the world's most famous designers represented in local shops, and many of the leading French and European lines, which may or may not have made it yet to America."

suggestions...
During the day...think Nautica, Old Navy, West marine...comfort, staying cool...t-shirts, cargo shorts, bathing suits...light colors, cotton, linen, crocs, maybe tennis/running shoes for exploring the islands...polarized sunglasses...

During the night...think Calvin Klein, Banana Republic...think casual but elegant...may get cool, if windy...sun dresses, dressier shorts, capris, jeans, khakis...anything linen, cotton...clogs, boat shoes...reading glasses, so you can see the menus!

what to bring...
Luggage should be soft duffle bags...preferably 1 medium bag  and 1 small bag or a small backpack per person...Shoes should have soft soles, preferably light color soles for use on the boat...on shore it does not matter...

what NOT to bring...

any questions?
